About
Audrey Finkelstein is a junior at Lincoln High School and a student photographer and videographer. She is part of the IB program and bilingual in Spanish. Since a young age, she has been interested in creating videos – from making music videos with her cousins, to critiquing social norms through short films. Audrey also takes on various leadership positions including the social media manager for red cross club and the director of communications for Mission: Citizen. In these positions, she creates graphic designs, videos, and photography to increase outreach for these vital organizations. Audrey's favorite type of filmmaking is narrative because she wants to give a voice to those who cannot speak out. In her most recent short film, she highlights the struggles of LGBTQ+ youth in choosing between embracing their true identity and conforming to societal standards. Audrey believes that filmmaking is a medium for confronting global issues, critiquing norms, and most importantly, connecting with others. She hopes to attend film school and further her passion in filmmaking.
